A UNSPSC code contains 8 digits. The first two digits represent Segments. The next two digits reprsent Families. The third pair of digits represent Classes. Finally, the last two digits of the code represent Commodities. The segments are organized such that, codes 10 to 15 represent Raw material, 20 to 27 represent Industrial Equipment, 30 to 41 represent Components & Supplies, 42 to 60 represent Finished Goods and finally 70 to 94 represent Services.
